Gero Solutions is a team of over 75 professionals with the passion and training to meet the needs of older adults and their families. These team members provide care coordination and supervision, caregiving, relocation and transitional services, home organizing and handyman services – all to empower personal success and wellness.

Mary Jo Zeller
Director
Holds Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Gerontology. In 1988 the Greater Woodfield Business Association and the Village of Arlington Heights named her Woman of the Year for her design of programs for seniors. Her experience with seniors over a 30 year span includes community-based governmental services, senior centers, retirement communities, assisted living facilities, and long term care communities.

Gloria Bersani
Director
Has 30 plus years in the field of aging following her advanced studies in Gerontology and Healthcare Administration, with interest in areas of long term care, hospital settings and community services. Her experiences vary in assisting older adults and their families with aging and health issues, relocation and transitioning support and dealing with specialized needs of persons with Alzheimer’s Disease and cognitive disorders.

Mary Sullivan
Program Manager
As a professional nurse, Mary has combined many years of direct clinical service and healthcare administration.  She is passionate and dedicated to senior care services and has focused the past ten years of her career on community-based programs.  She is a strong advocate for assuring personal success and independence for individuals managing in their own home environment.  In her current role as Program Manager, she oversees Gero Solutions care giving assistance and home transition services.

Betsy Thesing
Consumer Services Advocate
Holds a bachelor’s degree in social work. She is currently obtaining her Master’s degree in Gerontology.  She has worked at Lutheran Life Communities for the past 4 years.  Her experience has been working with older adults and families dealing with the aging process, Alzheimer’s disease, and ways to live successfully at home or within a senior living community. 

Paddy Homan
Community Services Advocate
Paddy is a graduate of the University College Cork, Ireland, Social Work Program. His work experience includes five years in Geriatric Case Management in Chicago, specializing in adult care protection, direct caregiver recruitment, training and supervision. Prior to that, he was a social worker in Ireland for three years.
